  1. Make sure you are logged is as a Manager when browsing through your campaigns.
  2. I have never came across this error myself. Check to make sure you have all software and modules installed on your server. Revive Requirements - www.revive-adserver.com/support/requirements Try doing the transfer of your files again.
  3. Welcome to Revive Forum You should definitely be able to serve way more than 200 million impressions from a single server. 200 impressions per month equals to only about 250,000 impressions per hour, which is pretty low. We have customers that serve over 1 million impressions per hour on one of our dedicated servers. You are most likely not able to serve more impressions currently due to non optimized server for Revive, not enough server power, and possibly non optimized script as you mentioned you may need an upgrade.
  4. With DPF Small Business you can only server up to 90 million impressions per month, which isn't that much. When you want to serve more than 90 million impressions per month, you'll have to contact Google and upgrade to the DPF Premium, which will quickly increase your costs more than the cost of hosting your own Revive platform. Also you can't customize DPF.
  5. Make sure you are running the latest GeoIP country database. Also check to make sure your GeoIP targeting is setup correctly on each ad zone.
  6. First thing I would recommend would be to run Revive on a Linux OS (CentOS 6) for maximum performance. Check www.revive-adserver.com/support/requirements to make sure you have all modules loaded on your server. Also check your user and group permissions to make sure they are set correctly.
  7. Make sure you have created a MySQL database inside your server. You will then need to assign permission to the database, so MySQL database and user cam connect. Once that is done, input the database info over to Revive and you're all set.
  8. Revive will function just fine with 755 permission, but you need to be running in suPHP. There is a disadvantage of running suPHP thought, as performance will be degraded by a huge amount. Haven't noticed any Revive being hacked or compromised when using 777 permission.
  9. Have you tried Mod Security Commercial Rules (Web Application Firewall) or CloudFlare Web Application Firewall? Mod Security and CloudFlare are both part of OWASP (www.owasp.org/index.php/Category:OWASP_ModSecurity_Core_Rule_Set_Project) which provide the same set of rules. Mod Security is free, but the commercial rules I think are a one time fee of $500, while with CloudFlare (www.cloudflare.com/waf) you have to pay $200 every month. This is probably the best and most affordable way for blocking bots and bad traffic. Another solution is to get a hardware firewall in front of your server to filter out the bad traffic, but that may be more expensive.
  10. Did you install GeoIP module for Apache? If not, you need to install it and check in PHP info file if GeoIP is showing up.
  11. About the scaling for Revive Adserver, I advise staying away from cloud environment. For ad serving you need full disk performance and it lacks on cloud serves, unless you go with SSD storage, but performance won't be the same as on a dedicated server. If you want best possible performance I advise scaling with dedicated servers.
  12. Have you setup or restricted any GeoIP country targeting? If not, could be an issue with your hosting provider experiencing connectivity issues to South Africa.
  13. What PHP version are you running? If you are running anything less than PHP 5.3, I highly recommend looking for a new provider as PHP 5.2 has many security volnerabilities. The Revive Ad Server system is secure by itself, but if you are running PHP 5.2 that is a security issue.
  14. To really notice some major performance improvements you need to select the right server hardware and work on optimizing the software inside. SSD is a must for Revive Ad server if you want the best possible performance. Optimizing just PHP and Apache isn't enough, as you also need to tweak MySQL, disable unused services, tweak DNS server, firewall, etc... I advise consulting with a Revive Ad Server expert to assist you in this matter, as each optimizations has to be adjusted to fit your server specs.
  15. Go for Nginx with mix of Apache. Your costs for use of CDN may run high if you will start serving millions of impressions per day.
  16. Memcached is great for low to medium traffic, but when you start hitting large traffic you will notice that Memcached will start to struggled. I would advise to use an SSD and it will outperform Memcached in Revive Ad Server environment under high traffic.
  17. We specialize in OpenX / Revive Ad Server hosting solutions since 2008 and have engineers that are very knowledgeable when it comes to installing, configuring, optimizing, securing, scaling, setting up load balancing / clusters, and more... Any additional delivery servers that you add into Revive Ad Server cluster, will require manual setup that is identical to the other delivery servers. I would't recommend setting up any virtual environment such as using Docker, as you will get hit with performance degradation which you don't want.
  18. Make sure that you have the GeoIP city database loaded on your server. Then go to Delivery Options in your Revive and set the city restrictions from there.
  19. Have you tried using another browser? Make sure you have all permissions setup correctly.
  20. Yes, if you have a file manager in your hosting contra panel you can upload the files through there instead of FTP.
  21. Make sure you have 755 or 777 folder permissions set on the images folder.
  22. The server time must not be synced. Make sure to sync the server time and when you updated PHP timezone, don't forget to restart Apache.
  23. That is all that you have to do Transfer files to the new server, restore the database, and modify the configuration file.
