  1. I moved my Revive Adserver (and whole site) to a different server and since I've done this, I get an error notice when log in: Error: File permission errors detected. These may impact the accurate delivery of your ads,See the debug.log file for the list of unwritable files I get this notice even though all folders have the required permissions - I double and triple checked this. The notice doesn't bother me, but my problem is that I cannot upload any new images/ads. I press the upload button, choose the file, save and get no error. But the new image doesn't show - it wasn't uploaded. I wanted to upgrade the version of the Revive Adserver, but it requires PHP 5.3 and my site can only work properly with 5.2. Any ideas as to what I can do? Perhaps I can upload the images directly to the server and change the database to point to them, somehow? Thanks, Yoni
  2. I am currently fiddling with Revive Adserver 3.10, and can not find any options that will allow me to create a publisher account. I have scoured this forum and the solutions I have come across seem to be for another version of Revive. Is it possible to create a Publisher account with restricted access, and could you provide a brief explanation on how this can be done. Many Thanks!
  3. I cannot get new ads to work after moving to a new hosting dedicated server. All ads already running and stats are working fine. The only thing that has changed is the IP address of the server. The database name, file permissions etc are identical. Debug log is clear and attached. We are getting the : Error: File permission errors detected. These may impact the accurate delivery of your ads, See the debug.log file for the list of unwritable files All permissions are set to 777 except the config file which is at 644. Any suggestions where to look next? Thank you, Jim Meskunas UPDATE ON THIS: The problem seems to be that the images are not uploading and being added. How can I troubleshoot this? I triple checked file permissions. SOLUTION: The "webDir=" value was no longer valid under [store] in the config file. I am so stupid some times!
  4. Hi, After upgrading to 3.2.3 I can't link banners to the zones. I get "You don't have access to that page. You have been re-directed." when I try to link a banner to a zone. I've tried a clean install but nothing changed. I've checked banner-zone.php for changes. And here is the result: $ diff ads_old/www/admin/banner-zone.php banner-zone.php 59a60,61 > OA_Permission::checkSessionToken(); > Yes, if I commented out that line I can link banners without any problem. So problem seems to be OA_Permission::checkSessionToken() line. I can't find any other files it's used in. Do you have any idea why this could happen? And more importantly can "my solution" cause any problem?
  5. Recently i have transfered my revive adserver to a new VPS hosting (Digital ocean) which don't have a cpanel. Everything works fine but All the impressions and clicks tracked by revive adserver are not send to google adsense. For Example Last day in revive panel I got 75000+ Impressions and 478 Clicks but in the Google adsense only 12000+ Impressions and 54 Clicks were counted. Is it for transfering to the new server? There has been a great fall in my revenue. I am very much depressed about this.
  6. Hi all, I am having issues with permissions when a banner that I add using a image+ URL I get permissions errors(403) and the ones I add with a code example adsense all works perfectly no issues, I have checked all the permissions and they are all set correctly. Running version 3.2.1 chmod -R a+w /opt/lampp/htdocs/ur openx/var chmod -R a+w /opt/lampp/htdocs/ur openx/var/cache chmod -R a+w /opt/lampp/htdocs/ur openx/var/plugins chmod -R a+w /opt/lampp/htdocs/ur openx/var/templates_compiled chmod -R a+w /opt/lampp/htdocs/ur openx/plugins chmod -R a+w /opt/lampp/htdocs/ur openx/www/admin/plugins chmod -R a+w /opt/lampp/htdocs/ur openx/www/images Files are "644" and folder are "755" Regards Al
  7. The documentation on the support page says: Well, the installation proccess for the current version (3.0.0) doesn't tell you that. At least on my server it didn't. So this is the list of folders on which you have to set the permissions to 777: openx_new/plugins openx_new/var openx_new/www/admin/plugins I hope this helps, and sorry for my english So, anyone knows which of those folders should be changed back to 755 after installation?
  8. I installed the Revive Adserver a one click install through my ISP Heart Internet. This has however installed an older version and I am trying to upgrade to the newest version. On running the upgrade installer I'm getting an error (see screenshot also) which is not letting me complete the upgrade due to a MYSQL user permission error, however I can't see anywhere in PHPMYADMIN where I can change permissions. In the Revive Adserver documentation under upgrading it says the following "Create this new database, and also make sure that the MySQL user “revive_adserver” has “all privileges” on the new database." Please help
  9. hi! quick question, in the installation manual it mentions after installation, I will be prompted to change file permissions for a list of folders, but I was never given that instruction during installation. anyone have a list of what folders those are for 3.0.5? Thank you
  10. Good Morning, the technical department of my service provider (Aruba cloud) says that, in order to avoid security problems, it is mandatory to assign these permissions: 755 - For all directories 644 - For all files I followed the guide for installing/upgrading Revive Adserver, but the provider I use prevents me from assigning 777 permissions to these directories: / plugins / var / www / admin / plugins After logging in, I get this warning: Error: File permission errors detected. These may impact the accurate delivery of your ads, See the debug.log file for the list of files unwritable I can not change the permissions because the provider forbids me, there is a solution to solve this problem without changing permissions? Thank you!
  11. I am on my second attempt to properly install 3.0.4 today, May 13, 2014. None of the screens in the installation process presented any instructions for changing any directory permissions, as described in the online installation instructions (http://www.revive-adserver.com/support/installation/), quoted here: It appears that several users have encountered the same or similar issues, which have not been fully addressed, in this thread: http://forum.revive-adserver.com/topic/12-folder-permissions-300/?hl=%2Binstall+%2Bpermissions#entry89 Also in that thread, Chinnu G lists the permissions that should be set (quoted below). I'm assuming that changing the permissions on the conf file to 644 should take place after the installation process is complete, since that file does not exist prior to the installation. Indeed, since my first installation process did not involve resetting any permissions, that file was not even created in the var directory, since var didn't have 777 permissions. I am preparing to attempt a second installation now. Are the missing install process permissions reset instructions, mentioned in the online installation documentation, a bug or intentional? Are they missing for everybody? Obviously, this was confusing and led to a bad initial installation in my case.
