  1. Sure it works. Did you check if the server meets the minimum technical requirements? See http://www.revive-adserver.com/support/requirements/
  2. The two plugins openXMarket and openXWorkflow have been removed from Revive Adserver over 18 months ago and shouldn't be present in your installation to begin with. If you still see them listed in your plugins overview, you might want to consider removing them first and then trying again.
  3. closed due to double posting of same question.
  4. Have you checked and made sure your server meets the minimum technical requirements outlined at http://www.revive-adserver.com/support/requirements/ ?
  5. All you have to do is use mailto: syntax. So instead http://www.example.com to link to a web page, you can use mailto:[email protected] to link to an e-mail address.
  6. I suggest upgrading to the latest version of Revive Adserver, the version you are using is several years old and has many known security issues.
  7. Please have a look at http://www.adserverplugins.com/advanced-video-ads-plugin-for-revive-adserver/ (full disclosure, I'm one of the developers of this plugin)
  8. That's documentation for an entirely different product. See http://blackriver.to/2014/01/openx-source-revive-adserver-magic-macros/
  9. The field was removed in version 3.1, see the release notes at: http://www.revive-adserver.com/blog/revive-adserver-v3-1-0-released/ . This is not a bug. You can include a link by using the <a href=""> tag inside the HTML code.
  10. Thanks for your feedback and the free advice. I'm sure you realize that the instructions were written to cater for a huge variety of users, from complete novices to absolute gurus. It is impossible to tailor it to each individual case. It is not true that having two copies of the database is mandatory. It is just a safety precaution in case you run into an issue half way through the upgrade process. From your text, I can tell you're not a novice, and I'm sure you were able to use the instructions as guidelines for your own work. But then you should also have been able to realize that the second copy of the copy of the database was not needed. You started modifying the process and then blame the author (who happens to be me) that the rest of the instructions don't match. That simply doesn't make sense By the way, I never wrote "RTFM", I was much more polite than that, and you shouldn't put words in my mouth.
  11. Feel free to develop this feature and submit a pull request on our Github site at https://github.com/revive-adserver/revive-adserver
  12. I agree with firstimpression, the number of impressions per day is irrelevant if we don't know what kind of resources your vps has. On our hosting platform, we can easily serve a million impressions per 10 minutes, but that involves a lot more hardware than just a tiny VPS.
  13. Please see https://github.com/revive-adserver/revive-adserver/issues/107 and chime in!

  16. If you would move the site to another account, you would have to move all the advertisers for which you have campaigns or banners linked to the site's zones to the other account as well. This will fail if that advertiser also runs on other sites that will not be moved. I wouldn't even consider doing this, it's a recipe for disaster.
  17. Have you made sure that your server meets the minimum technical requirements? http://www.revive-adserver.com/support/requirements/
  18. You'll need to put the invocation code where it says THEADGOESHERE.
  19. Capturing demographic data means you must first have that data on the website. Then a third party plugin such as TargetiX could be used to capture and use it. TargetiX performance retargeting, behavioral targeting and so on. Full disclosure: I'm one of the developers of TargetiX.
  20. Revive Adserver has been designed to display banners in a random order, where the weights (on remnant campaigns) drive the calculations that result in probabilites. Having a higher probability for a banner does not mean it is more likely to show up first, it just means its more likely to show up (period).
  21. Revive Adserver was not designed to produce real time statistics. The statistics will be updated at the top of the hour.
  22. We're running Revive Adserver on dozens (soon hundreds) of droplets at DigitalOcean. Works like a shine. Each droplet has its own set of tasks and therefor it's own size. In your case, I guess the smallest droplet size will work. And if not, you can always scale up to the next size very easily. By the way, here is a referral link that gets you $10 in credit when you use it to open account at DigitalOcean: https://www.digitalocean.com/?refcode=f5dd613a3706
