billcravens
Hi everyone. I'm new to the Revive community, having just migrated from DFP. We've noticed that, in the days since the migration, our total ad impressions are lower than we expect them to be -- and than what our Google Analytics data suggests they should be, all things equal. In troubleshooting, I noticed that occasionally, the JavaScript console returns a message indicating that instead of ad creative, a 500 error is being returned: Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 (Internal Server Error) http://ads.301digitalmedia.com/www/delivery/ajs.php?zoneid=5&cb=74309747060&charset=UTF-8&loc=http%3A//www.wably.com/ When navigating directly to the ad URL, we don't usually see issues, except every so often, a blank page is returned, which correlates with the following errors in the Apache error log: [Fri Jul 04 23:30:57.769540 2014] [:error] [pid 5125] [client 68.63.251.176:44781] PHP Notice: Undefined variable: _SERVER in /var/www/html/www/delivery/ajs.php on line 180 [Fri Jul 04 23:30:57.770194 2014] [:error] [pid 5125] [client 68.63.251.176:44781] PHP Notice: Undefined variable: host in /var/www/html/www/delivery/ajs.php on line 228 [Fri Jul 04 23:30:57.771194 2014] [:error] [pid 5125] [client 68.63.251.176:44781] PHP Notice: Undefined index: SCRIPT_NAME in /var/www/html/www/delivery/ajs.php on line 172 [Fri Jul 04 23:30:57.771481 2014] [:error] [pid 5125] [client 68.63.251.176:44781] PHP Notice: Undefined index: SCRIPT_FILENAME in /var/www/html/www/delivery/ajs.php on line 258 [Fri Jul 04 23:30:57.772037 2014] [:error] [pid 5125] [client 68.63.251.176:44781] PHP Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required '/var/www/html/www/delivery/../../lib/OA/Dal/Delivery/.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear') in /var/www/html/www/delivery/ajs.php on line 1973 [Fri Jul 04 23:39:23.205546 2014] [:error] [pid 6360] [client 68.63.251.176:40825] PHP Notice: Undefined variable: _SERVER in /var/www/html/www/delivery/ajs.php on line 180 [Fri Jul 04 23:39:23.205997 2014] [:error] [pid 6360] [client 68.63.251.176:40825] PHP Notice: Undefined variable: host in /var/www/html/www/delivery/ajs.php on line 228 [Fri Jul 04 23:39:23.207145 2014] [:error] [pid 6360] [client 68.63.251.176:40825] PHP Notice: Undefined index: SCRIPT_NAME in /var/www/html/www/delivery/ajs.php on line 172 [Fri Jul 04 23:39:23.207480 2014] [:error] [pid 6360] [client 68.63.251.176:40825] PHP Notice: Undefined index: SCRIPT_FILENAME in /var/www/html/www/delivery/ajs.php on line 258 [Fri Jul 04 23:39:23.207955 2014] [:error] [pid 6360] [client 68.63.251.176:40825] PHP Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required '/var/www/html/www/delivery/../../lib/OA/Dal/Delivery/.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear') in /var/www/html/www/delivery/ajs.php on line 1973 Because it doesn't happen too consistently, I'm not sure exactly why it's happening. The Revive instance was just installed a few days ago, with the following specs: Revive Adserver v3.0.5 running on Apache 2.4.7, PHP 5.5.9-1ubuntu4.2 and MySQL 5.5.35-1ubuntu1 Any help in pinpointing/resolving the root cause would be greatly appreciated. Snoork Hosting
First thing I would recommend would be to run Revive on a Linux OS (CentOS 6) for maximum performance. Check www.revive-adserver.com/support/requirements to make sure you have all modules loaded on your server. Also check your user and group permissions to make sure they are set correctly.
