  1. Your message doesn't help solve your problem. You need to look at what your Revive Adserver is delivering  If you are not getting data from your adserver, then nothing will be displayed on the player.

What is your VAST Link? Click on the VAST link with your browser and you should have several pages of XML. If you don't have any XML, then your Revive Adserver system isn't setup to deliver ads.

  2. The change of the RV.php file also resolved my issue to since the upgrade to 3.0.3.  The system then pulled numbers and they then displayed on the page.  I performed the chmod 755 -R scripts folder under the adserver, waiting to see if this resolves the maintainance issue.

  3. Getting the PreRoll Adzone for VAST with Revive Adserver

1.)  Create the Zone in Revive Adserver NOTE YOU CANNOT SEE THE ADZONE yet

2.)  Create a Campaign and link to the zone

3.)  Create a Banner ad for this campaign

4.)  Select the zone to place the ad into and Document the ID  which in my case is 20

5.)  Script to add to the player

    a.     http://{yourdomain.com}/{youradserverfolder}/www/delivery/fc.php?script=bannerTypeHtml:vastInlineBannerTypeHtml:vastInlineHtml&zones=pre-roll0-0%3D20&nz=1&source=&r=R0.023106331005692482&block=1&format=vast&charset=UTF-8

    b.     Where the D20 is located in the script, change the 20 to the ID in Revive

  4. I am attempting to get Revive adserver to automatically send emails about the performances of ads to the advertising owner.  I am trying to configure for SMTP with ManDrill from my Apache2 linux server.  I am unable to find any instructions about how to setup SMTP.  There was coding changes in GITHUB about this feature, but I am unable to figure out where to set the parameters to achieve this goal.  I have googled search and attempted to modify the {domain}.com.conf file with SMTP information, but nothing works.   Any advice would be helpful.

  5. Contract (Exclusive) campaigns exist for a very specific purpose in the OpenX ad server — as you may have guessed from the name, the campaign type is there to exclusively deliver campaigns that are special because the advertiser wants exclusive rights to certain inventory3 on your website.

As with Contract (Exclusive) campaigns, Contract campaigns exist for a specific reason — in this case, to deliver campaigns that have certain time-sensitive campaign targets.

Remnant campaigns are the “catch all” type of campaign in OpenX — if a campaign does not have a requirement of having exclusive access to inventory, and does not have any time-sensitivecampaign targets, then it should be set up as a Remnant campaign.

  6. JWplayer has indicated that the xml document is not properly formed:

XML Parsing Error: XML declaration not well-formed
    Location: http://www.icecodeproductions.com/adserver/www/delivery/fc.php?script=bannerTypeHtml:vastInlineBannerTypeHtml:vastInlineHtml&zones=pre-roll0-0%3D20&nz=1&source=&r=R0.023106331005692482&block=1&format=vast&charset=UTF-8%22
    Line Number 1, Column 36:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8""?>

  7. I have successfully making JWPlayer6 work with Revive Adserver to deliver a linear preroll ad on the desktops/laptops environment.  The Ad's are formatted in a MP4 mode.

When I attempt to access the same video with the iPhone4, the preroll ad doesn't appear, just the main video.

I tested with the iPhone a demo out with JWPlayer6 from their site and their ad provider and their ad is appearing.  I don't think the issue is with jwplayer, does Revive support linear mp4 ads to mobile devices ?

Here is the thread from JWplayer6 that states they support HTML5
