    Hi Wichwetyl,

     

    Revive support VAST 1.0 out of the box, so I think you'll be needing VAST 2.0 which require you to buy a plugin. Do u want to use pre-rolls?  After you installed the plugin and setup the inline video zone, you'll see a new tab in the zone VAST 2.0 invocation code. That contains the VAST ad tag (an uri), which you'll be needing in your JWPlayer configuration. 

     

    Im not sure but I think google DFP supports VAST 2.0 and 3.0 ad tags too and u can serve upto 90 million impressions a month with no costs. I havent used it yet though.

    Hi all,

     

    I have a few questions regarding zones. My idea is to serve advertisements for a digital newspaper. I currently have a frontpage and I have a subpage which list for example sports, lifestyle, politics etc.

     

    Can I do the following:

    1.       Setup zones on frontpage and;

    2.       Setup zones for subpage.

     

    Suppose an advertiser want to target the politics page. Can I create a zone specifically for “politics” or “sports”? How do I create different zones on 1 subpage? I want to create something like this:

     

    Zone 1: frontpage banner

    Zone 2: frontpage right side

    Zone 3: frontpage left side

    Zone 4: politics banner

    Zone 5: politics right side

    Zone 6: politics left side

    zone 7: sports banner

    zone 8: sports right side

    zone 9: sports left side

    I agree there is a lack of documentation. This seems something with great potential but at this point not much too find and the forum board seems inactive.

     

    Have u ever thought about a commercial version? I for example would be intereste. 

  14. Startup Issues/questions

    Hi all,

     

    Since im a newbie with an adserver I have few things that I would like to ask/discuss:

     

    1.    I installed it on my server with no problems but when I try to access some admin *.php files (like statistics or banner) I get an internal server error. This only happens to a few files/links. Ive checked my file/folder permissions and they seem to be ok. I will check my apache loggings too. But at this point does anyone know what the issue is as it only seem to be affecting a few files?

     

    2.    Currently there is an admin, an advertiser and publisher. I have a quite simple setup: basically and 1. admin which will create websites and zones and 2. An advertiser which will upload banners/videos. At this point I don’t see how an advertiser can login and start adding his advertisement. Is this possible?

     

    3.    I will start of with 2 sites: 1. A digital newspaper site and 2. A video site using flowplayer html5 version. I don’t this this is the right place to ask but I’ll do it anyway J: anyone know how to support vast with flowplayer5 without using the DFP plugin?

     

    4.    Does revive support VAST 2.0 ?
