  1. Ian, I checked the raid status for any drive failures.

    Looks like raid is working just fine without any failed drives.

  2. Hi,

    Here are some more informations.

    df -h

    rootfs                                                                 20G   11G  7.4G  60% /
    /dev/root                                                              20G   11G  7.4G  60% /

    tmpfs                                                                 6.3G  308K  6.3G   1% /run
    tmpfs                                                                 5.0M     0  5.0M   0% /run/lock
    tmpfs                                                                  13G     0   13G   0% /dev/shm
    /dev/md3                                                              1.8T  155G  1.6T   9% /home

    my.cnf

    ...

    [mysqld_safe]
    socket          = /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock
    nice            = 0

    [mysqld]
    #
    # * Basic Settings
    #
    user            = mysql
    pid-file        = /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.pid
    socket          = /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock
    port            = 3306
    basedir         = /usr
    datadir         = /var/lib/mysql
    tmpdir          = /tmp
    lc-messages-dir = /usr/share/mysql

    ...

    I don't think I'm using tmpfs for MySQL.

  3. Hi everyone,

    we had some data loss with revive following a server restart. Thanks to our daily database backups we were able to minimize this loss.

    We are running Revive 3.0.5 atm.

    It seems like MySQL was not saving anything onto disk over the last few months, which is pretty strange. We got MySQL 5.5.

    Do you have any idea on what could be the causes of this problem?

    Thanks
