Did you FTP the files, or FTP the zip and unzip on-server?
The former sets permissions properly, while the latter does not. Common problem. -
. The way to increase your ad revenue overall, is to find some paying advertisers with a higher rate than what your AdSense ads yield, so that the revenue of the whole increases.
And increase your traffic.

For the first request, can't you just alter the [var] ?
.

there is no way for us to include a garbage variable in front of the 'bannerid' variable which is being blocked ("?bannerid="). You can hack core,

Yep, same fix for me as well: special chars in the MySQL password made the Revive upgrade go nuts.
The next issue may be related to permissions. That was my next problem as well. The "failed to find package" may be some sort of directory traversal issue if you uploaded the zip to the server, and unzipped there, as opposed to FTPing the new files on by one.
I realize this is an "old" post, but it was unanswered. Hopefully this helps somebody else.

I ran into several "deprecated" issues because I was using non-alphanumerics in my MySQL password.
Apparently, a character in the password makes Revive go bananas.
"My_P@ssW0rd" = did not work
"MyPassW0rd" = works fine
Hope that helps. -

I change some core files.
Apparently, the plugin needed some editing as well, as it referred to the same variables.

Hi,
Login as administrator and click "Plugins" tab, then check whether "Invocation Tags Plugin" plugin installed / enabled or not. If not enabled, click "Enable" link and that's it.
It plugin not installed, you can install "openXInvocationTags" plugin from "/etc/plugins" of your adserver directory.
I'm getting this error:
Component group with this name is already installed oxInvocationTags
The uploaded file did not pass security check
The uploaded file openXInvocationTags.zip was not unpacked
Not sure what's wrong here.
Why Does The Banner "slow Down"?
in Using Revive Adserver
Posted
Do you mean physically "slowing down" as in slow loading?
Are you using a server-side cache?
