Problem delivering ads to iPhone using Async JS tag

Ads are not delivered to the web browsers (Safari, Chrome and Firefox) on an iPhone. If 3rd party tracking is enabled in Safari settings, then ads are shown. In Chrome and Firefox this settings is not avaialble as far as I know. Ads are not shown in these browsers.

The reason for this seems to be that the call to asyncjs.php does not set any cookies used for the next call (to asyncspc.php

Ads are shown on an Samsing Android device, both with the built in browser and in Chrome.

The setup is that ads are fetched from another server. Would it help to have get ads from a subdomain so that the website is domain.com and the ads are fetched from ads.domain.com -- and if so, is there special configuration that needs to be applied?

Does anyone have an idea on how to approach this issue? I cannot find information about it.
