custom www/admin path directs to error 500

I am trying to change the admin path in administrator settings from www/admin to www/access, but when I rename it my adserver is not accessible and giving error 500. i even tried to rename the admin folder in file manager to access but still shows error 500. How can i change the paths without errors?

If you are changing the path, you'll also need to change the "[webpath] admin" value in the configuration file.

Alternatively, rather than making changes to the code, you could address this by using rewrite rules as appropriate in your web server.

Am not seeing anything related to [webpath] admin in the file only require_once MAX_PATH . '/www/admin/lib-gui.inc.php';
