I have 1 advertiser, 1 banner in one linked zone and for some reason the invocation code that I have inserted into a php template of my wordpress theme only shows the ad IF i am logged in to the administrative area of wordpress ... crazy sounding i know ... i've tried everything from using each of the different invocation codes to uninstalling and reinstalling the ad server .... heres the weird thing the code shows in the source up BUT if I am not logged in to the wordpress admin it displays a 0px height and 0px image as the ad instead of the 728x90 banner i have placed ... you can view this by going to the page: https://www.amtaflorida.org you will see at the top where the log is above the navigation where the ad should display ... if you look at the source it should give you an idea of whats going on ... help i simply cant figure this out and i feel I have tried everything ... I have taken and logged screenshots of all the settings... Any help is greatly appreciated im struggling to figure this one out but im sure its something easy i have missed ... if any other settings screenshots are needed let me know and i can do those too ... in the words of the Beatles ... andrewatfornax Posted August 19, 2019 Report Share Posted August 19, 2019 I think the issue is probably that your Delivery Options rules are "wrong" - I don't think that the protocol should be in the Client - Domain rule, for example. https://documentation.revive-adserver.com/display/DOCS/Client+Delivery+Rules#ClientDeliveryRules-Client-Domain I'd try this first: https://www.revive-adserver.com/faq/troubleshooting-banner-delivery/ Basically, remove all your Delivery Options, and try displaying the banner on an otherwise empty HTML page. If you are using an Image invocation tag, make sure that only image banners are being used. For other types of banners, including SWF banners, you should use any other type of invocation tag – IMG tags can only display image banners. I have tried async, javascipt, local and iframe on a clean html page and still the same result happens a 0height 0width image for the banner it self displays http://amtaflorida.org/mine.html http://amtaflorida.org/mine2.html http://amtaflorida.org/mine3.html http://amtaflorida.org/mine5.php (gets a 500 error) Even if not using an Image tag, try using a different invocation method. XML-RPC and Local Mode tags require advanced knowledge and you might be using the tags incorrectly. For simplicity and versatility, try using Javascript or iFrame tags. All 4 above have been attempted Have you waited? There is a delivery cache for active servers. The default is 20 minutes – it can take time before new inventory or updated Limitation/Capping settings are added into rotation. Ive waited months lol Try placing the invocation tag on a plain/empty HTML page rather than on your website. Your website might have CSS or HTML which is interfering. the Mine.html pages above are all just blank pages and they get the same result as does my site ... Check the zone’s probability tab to see what banners are expected to be used and how often. This page will also tell you if the banner has any Delivery Limitations or Capping. If all banners have limitations or capping, this can prevent delivery. Probability tab says 100% ... i changed its delivery limitations from what was noted in my screen shot from "client domain" to (site -source see screenshot) I also tried it without any "Delivery Rules" and still get the same result... You can clear your browser cookies to restart your session and allow yourself more impressions if the banner/campaign has session based capping. cleared cookies and tried incognito browser If the probabilities of the banners in a zone simply don’t add up to a 100%, this could be caused by using Contract campaigns without having any Remnant campaigns linked to the zone. A Contract Campaign will limit impressions across a time frame and might currently have a very low probability. Linking a banner from a Remnant campaign with no capping or limitations will guarantee that a banner is always displayed. probabilities add to 100 Can your browser correctly render the banner being used when not using Revive Adserver? Open the Revive Adserver admin page and check the banner’s properties – there should be a banner preview above the main options. If it isn’t displayed here, it means that the actual banner has an issue rather than Revive Adserver’s rendering of it. You can also test by banner displays fine in ad server admin opening the browser in a test HTML page without using the Revive Adserverinvocation tag. the jpg opens just fine in a browser Is any ad-blocking or internet security software being used? Try using a different browser, or even a different computer (obviously not the computer of a co-worker who has the exact same ad blocking software being used!). No ad blocking activated If a Flash banner is being used, make sure that your browser has the correct Flash plugin version for displaying the version. You should make sure that the banner only requires a Flash version that is common among users – when generating the SWF the producer has a choice of what Flash version to require. For example: If they require version 9 of the flash player, you might have only version 8 and therefore can’t display the SWF. The removal of Delivery Options won't be instant. Looking at your first link http://amtaflorida.org/mine.html I can see that Revive Adserver is working - it's not returning any server errors - it's just deciding that there's no banner to display. Here's my delivery options.... how do i get it to "decide" that theres a banner to display .. i dont get it ... i have the only rule set to "only display banner" when "site" is equal to https://www.amtaflorida.org so why would it that make sense for it to "decide" that there's "no banner" to display ? If so, then put the rules back one by one, until you figure out which rule is preventing display. My guess is that https:// should not be part of the Site - Source... MarcJuneau Posted September 25, 2019 Report Share Posted September 25, 2019 @andrewatfornax getting back to this as I'm just having time again to do so as I work as a volunteer Board Member for the AMTAFL ... the 1 ad i had in the system appeared there for a day or two and then disappeared again is there a contractor i can hire that can assist me with this once and for all that i can get this working ? This is months and months of troubleshooting this that I haven't been able to get this working on my own. MarcJuneau Posted October 1, 2019 Report Share Posted October 1, 2019 i guess i am at a complete loss then and i apologize if that came across as any disrespect none was meant. in his thread i have posted screen shots of most all admin panels in my install, results of error logs, created static versions where nothing else on the page but the ad is presented, detailed explanations of settings. please let me know what is needed and I am glad to post it in full as i would like to resolve this once and for all.
