Migrating from OpenX v2.8.8 (don't laugh!)

The non-profit publisher for whom I'm working has been using OpenX v2.8.8 until now to serve banner ads on our sites. Obviously it's showing its age, and we've run into our first major problem where this has become an issue, so I've been given the task of exploring options for transition.

What's the transition process to the current release of Revive going to be like?

I've fairly good *nix sysadmin skills, but if this is going to be a headache I'd rather find out about it now and consider going down the route of Google AdSense or something else instead (any recommendations there?)
