SebastianS Posted May 12, 2017 Report Posted May 12, 2017 I upgraded from 3.2.4 to 4.0.2 and now i see unusual behaviour in my monitoring (munin): Is that something to be worried about? Quote
andrewatfornax Posted May 14, 2017 Report Posted May 14, 2017 Hi @SebastianS , So, what are you concerned about? The number of new connections to memcached? Did it settle down after a while? If not, were there any other changes to the system at the same time as the upgrade of Revive Adserver? Quote
SebastianS Posted May 15, 2017 Author Report Posted May 15, 2017 Hello Andrew Unfortunately there have been other changes: php was upgraded from 5.4.x to 5.5.38. I am just surprised by the sudden explosion of connections. When something changes so drastically i like to find out if that behavior is expected. If someone with knowledge of the codebase knew that for example now a new set of data is kept in memcache that would be a perfect example. But this could also be a sign of a bug: Connection to memcached getting closed and reopened multiple times during one request. But since all seems to be working (banner get delivered, statistics are created, etc) and Server seems to be fine with the load i calmed down. Quote
andrewatfornax Posted May 16, 2017 Report Posted May 16, 2017 Hi @SebastianS , As far as I know, nothing changed re: caching with memcached in 4.0. I would say it's more to do with the PHP version update & webserver restart. Quote
