V_Romero
Hi All I am getting the below error when trying to access the admin site, I have tried with the php - my sql module and it is there, so far i am clue less. Any help?? Thanks, Database connection error.A fatal error occurred Revive Adserver can't connect to the database. Because of this it isn't possible to use the administrator interface. The delivery of banners might also be affected. Possible reasons for the problem are: <ul> <li>The database server isn't functioning at the moment</li> <li>The location of the database server has changed</li> <li>The username or password used to contact the database server are not correct</li> <li>PHP has not loaded the MySQL Extension</li> </ul>
Erik Geurts
Assuming the connection details for the database haven't changed, the most likely cause is one or more corrupted tables. Try a 'repair' or check with your sysadmin or hosting provider.
V_Romero
HI Erik. Thanks for your answer, I actually find out that the config file has a wrong names to access the data base, and when I change them the admin log on screen appears but now it says that the user/pass is wrong, first the database name here is different to the database name, I have no idea how this got changed, second the username is not correct either, I tried change it and no luck. any ideas??? [database] type=mysql host=localhost socket="/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock" port=3306username=hrmweb password=***********name=hrmweb_adserver persistent= mysql4_compatibility=1 protocol=tcp compress= ssl= capath= ca= Thanks,
Erik Geurts
It's impossible to say from out here how your config file got changed without you knowing about it. I'd look for an intruder of some sort.
V_Romero
yes I know, I ending figured out that the password was changed, the only thing that happened is that the company which I had the hosting did a migration to another server, but they claim not touched anything which make sense, anyway I am taking all necessary precautions now, I upgraded to a newer version and it went fine, the only thing is that I lost all my campaigns, I can see how the old database still active but I have not being able to copy it and pull the data. Thanks,
Erik Geurts
Your hosting company seems to have done a pretty bad job with that migration. Sounds like now you have an entirely new installation instead of being connected to the existing database.
