Cannot login - error messages sessions failed and The username and/or password were not correct

Hi,

I have just set up ad server folder in my domain name. After successful installation, for some reason it did not allow me to login or go through at all.

This failed login occurs in both messages: The username and/or password were not correct. Please try again. AND Session cookie error, please log in again

I installed latest version which is version 4.0.

 

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Erik. Our browser, Chrome, does have cookies acceptance enabled.

This sounds like it may have moved over to GitHub now, and be one of the known issues in 4.0.0 that will be resolved in 4.0.1?

@duplexcleaning, this soudns like an issue with PHP session storage. Try to enable PHP error logging in php.ini (the setting called log_errors), and see if there are any error messages in webserver error log. 

My bet is that your session storage folder is not writable.

I am facing a similar issue and can't seem to find any guidance to resolve. Was logged in after a fresh install and then logged out. Now when I log in again with Chrome I get "Session cookie error, please log in again" however I am able to log in fine with Internet Explorer.

Any ideas or recommendations on where to find a solution?

Are you running Revive Adserver 4.0.1 or later? You don't say what version you are on.

Cookies are turned on, i have tried both IE and Chrome. Both have the same failure. Logging in to other installed apps such as wordpress function fine just not this. 

Also my ads continue to not display but thats a different issue I will post. 

I have opened the web developer console and no errors appear in the console. I have also scanned the logs and nothing appears as a result for the installed revive app in the error logs.
