warmbells
Hi, Tonight I cannot log in to my adserver. I have just had a problem with my computer and the browser. Now when I get to the log in page it will not accept my username and password. Any ideas how I can get back into the adserver? Thanks, Gerald
Erik Geurts
What sort of problem did you have earlier with your computer/browser? Can you post a screenshot where it says it is not accepting your login? Can you log in from another computer?
warmbells
Thanks for the reply, I had a power outage, but I am wondering if there is a coincidence and the database has gotten corrupted as when I tried to retrieve the password I keep getting an error that the email address is not recognised. Is there any way to fix the database? I cannot try to login from another computer. I think that I am not using the latest version, would an upgrade help? Erik Geurts
How would a power outage on your computer affect the server? Are your ads still delivering? If there was a power outage on the server, then yes, this can have affected the database. I would recommend contacting your hosting provider and asking them to check things for you. warmbells
Hi Erik, Yes ads are still delivering, just cannot understand why it cannot find my email address to retrieve my admin password. Is it worth trying to do an upgrade? Gerald
Erik Geurts
No, I doubt an upgrade will fix anything, if only, it'll make things worse. Have you contacted your hosting provider, asking them to check the database?
warmbells
Hi, Hosting provider checked the database, no problems. I just cannot get in to the admin page. I think I might have to bite the bullet and start again from scratch with a new install.
warmbells
Something very strange going on. I got my son, who lives in Cornwall, to try to log in. He managed with no problems.
Erik Geurts
So it's just a local issue with your own PC, nothing with the server. I suggest checking your browser. Does it accept cookies? Can you try with another browser?
warmbells
Hi, Just tried again with IE and got the same results, not being able to log in.
Erik Geurts
Very strange, but not something we can fix remotely.
