tinskey Posted July 1, 2016 Report Posted July 1, 2016 The metrics for impressions and clicks are not showing proper values. There are many banners that have 0 impressions but multiple clicks. It seems like both of these metrics are inflated by a fairly large margin. We have upgraded to the latest version 3.2.4 (from 3.2.1) and are still having the same issues. It looks like the data is stored in the database as a snapshot so we don't have granular data to analyze on who's clicking what when. N8win Posted August 17, 2016 Report Posted August 17, 2016 I have had this problem for a long time now. Zero impression with many clicks. You are currently using Revive Adserver v3.2.4 running on Apache 2.4.7, PHP 5.5.9 This has been an ongoing issue in many forums for at least two years now and I have yet to see any official resolutions or feedback regarding these phantom clicks. Erik Geurts Posted August 17, 2016 Report Posted August 17, 2016 This is not a software issue, not a bug, it is the result of bots on your site that are "clicking" any link they can find. Quote
N8win Posted August 17, 2016 Report Posted August 17, 2016 The examples above have no impressions due to the fact they are 'completed' campaigns. Therefor, they should not be able to be found since the only thing connecting the expired campaign to my website is the 'zone'. Do I have to create a new zone for each new campaign and replace the current zone in order to prevent a 'bot' from clicking a banner in a completed campaign? How can a bot find a completed campaign banner ad and click it unless it's going through the 'zone'? Quote
Erik Geurts Posted August 17, 2016 Report Posted August 17, 2016 Bots often cache links and revisit them later. Quote
