Basil Posted June 2, 2016 Report Share Posted June 2, 2016 Hello, I use direct selection for my personal group of sites and am very happy with that feature; but in version 3.2.4 it seems to have disappeared, is there a third party plugin perhaps? Basil Posted June 2, 2016 Author Report Share Posted June 2, 2016 Hello, I upgraded to 3.2.4 and don't see it anywhere, it is not in the drop down menu, is it perhaps a permissions issue I might have as I get warnings when I login, using Revive Adserver v3.2.4 running on Apache 2.4.6, PHP 5.6.21 and MySQL 5.5.47-MariaDB I don't know what I could have done wrong as I've been using revive since 2000 ... I've never used Direct Selection myself, so I wouldn't know where to look. Anyway: if you have error messages while logging in/being logged in, I'd think you should fix those first. The option for direct selection is missing on the menu, that is my problem, I will try and sort out the permissions issue and report back here ... In new installs, Direct Selection is disabled by default, in upgrades, it's maintained as it always was. Look in your config file, there is a setting in the [UI] section that controls this. I still don't understand how Direct Selection is going to help fix an issue you have with Flash banners as mentioned in your original post. Basil Posted June 3, 2016 Author Report Share Posted June 3, 2016 Thanks for the explanation. It was an upgrade; but also on a new server!! Revive was migrated to the new server as version 3.06. I then upgraded but the paths to the subdomain and root directories are slightly different on the new server, so I will have to play with that and see how best to solve this issue. Erik Geurts Posted June 3, 2016 Report Share Posted June 3, 2016 Well, that's the setting, and it should work when you change it. If it doesn't, it must be a local thing. One final thing you can try, after setting it to 0, is to clear the content of the /var/cache folder (because the UI's menus and links are also cached there).
