ekortright
After successfully upgrading a Revive installation from 3.1.0 to 3.2.4, I new get this error every time I log in: Error: File permission errors detected. These may impact the accurate delivery of your ads, See the debug.log file for the list of unwritable files If I check the var/debug.log file, there are no error messages related to file permissions. Is there some way to find out what the problem is and fix it?
Erik Geurts
The most likely situation is that somehow the server can not write in the debug.log file itself. This can be caused by ownership issues or file permissions.
ekortright
Thank you for the quick response, Erik. I ended up completely blowing away the upgrade and starting from scratch, but I think you're right. I had forgotten to make everything in the site root owned by the apache user, so something must not have been letting the system write what it needed. Erik Geurts
Thanks for letting us know you managed to get the upgrade OK.
Joost Gysemans
Just for future reference, just tackled this issue too after some searching. Image uploads not working, file permission error message when logging in and debug.log working, but not showing errors. Check the "webDir" value in your configuration file under "YourOpenX/var/yourdomainame.conf.php" file. Typical for an upgrade to forget to update the webDir value in the config file. martin.krcho
martin.krcho
Thanks for the advice, @Joost Gysemans. I had the same issue and changing the "webDir" setting solved it.
