Inherit banners

Hello,

I'm new in the adserving domain and I'm searching a solution to solve 2 requirements:
- track conversions
- have the possibility to fill an empty child category with a banner from the parent category (inheritance).

The goal is to display banners in each category of my website.

Regarding conversion tracking, I know that it's available in revive.
But for the "inherit" feature, I'm not 100% sure.

I found this ticket:
http://forum.revive-adserver.com/topic/1683-passback-waterfall/

Can you confirm that it will answer my last requirements based on examples below?
I've described 2 examples about the expected feature.

Example 1:
Health & Beauty > Personal Care > Shaving & Grooming > Hair Removal > Depilatories

  • Banner A is set on Health & Beauty.
  • No banner filled in sub-category.

Result expected:
I'd like to have the banner (A) from Health & Beauty filled in all sub-categories.

  • Health & Beauty : Banner A
  • Personal Care : Banner A
  • Shaving & Grooming : Banner A
  • Hair Removal : Banner A
  • Depilatories : Banner A

Example 2:
Health & Beauty > Personal Care > Shaving & Grooming > Hair Removal > Depilatories

  • Banner A is set on Health & Beauty.
  • Banner B is set on Shaving & Grooming.
  • No banner to fill in Personal Care, Hair Removal, Depilatories

Result expected:

  • Health & Beauty : Banner A
  • Personal Care : Banner A
  • Shaving & Grooming : Banner B
  • Hair Removal : Banner B
  • Depilatories : Banner B

Thanks a lot for your time.

Best regards,

Fred
