subirghosh
I am trying to install Revive, but am caught in a loop. Step 1 is fine. Step 2 creates the problem. After entering the database details and hitting on continue I see the message "Installing database". And that's it. It goes back to Step 1 (Welcome). I am not sure what I am doing wront. FYI, I have used both phpAdsNew and OpenX earlier. Thanks. Subir
subirghosh
Can anyone indicate me towards a direction? Thanks!
Eliza0406
Hi Subir, Just check to folder permission(755). In step 2, verify whether the database details you have provided are correct.
subirghosh
Hi Eliza: * Database details are quite correct. * Am not too sure about the folder permissions. Under Section 5 of this page: http://www.revive-adserver.com/support/installation/ In one of the first screens to be displayed, you will be instructed to modify the permissions of several of the folders that were created in step 3 above. Each folder you will need to modify will be clearly indicated. The permissions needed are 777?. Do NOT set all of the folders and files to these permissions, just the few files and folders indicated on the screen. But the thing is that I am not able to reach this stage at all. Am caught in the first stage. Therefore, I don't know which folders need to be 777 and which need to remain 755.

webnomad
Installation with Win7/Chrome failed but using Firefox worked perfectly, i assume ther must be an incompatability with one of the chrome Plugins
andrewatfornax
Hi @webnomad,Possibly an ad blocker - those will definitely prevent Revive Adserver from installing correctly.
