My suggestion is for you to add suport for Xcache to cache banners. Currently, only two types of cache is available, disk and memcached. The redis one is in fact part of a bigger solution I'm currently designing. Due to lack of time I've never published the apc plugin, but I would expect to do so as soon as we're able to revamp adserverplugins.com.
