gabrielt Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 Hi, Once again, thank you so much for "reviving" phpAdsNew/OpenX. My suggestion is for you to add suport for Xcache to cache banners. Currently, only two types of cache is available, disk and memcached. Since we already use Xcache on our server, this addition would be great. Banner Delivery Cache Store Type Thanks, Gabriel. Quote
Guest Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 Hi gabrielt Yes, Xcache is a fast & suitable for high traffic. Also it is an opcode cacher Quote
Matteo Beccati Posted December 19, 2013 Report Posted December 19, 2013 I have working apc and redis cache plugins available. The redis one is in fact part of a bigger solution I'm currently designing. Due to lack of time I've never published the apc plugin, but I would expect to do so as soon as we're able to revamp adserverplugins.com. It is going to be a free plugin and it should be fairly easy to port it to xcache. Quote
andrewatfornax Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 Thanks, and I note that the request is in at https://github.com/revive-adserver/revive-adserver/issues/156 too; certainly something we can think about (or would gladly accept a PR for) as an addition to supporting filesystem and memcached.
