Mobile Targeting

Hi,

 

I wanted to ask what the easiest way is to do mobile targeting?

 

 

I've found 3 plugins:

• Mobile Targeting Plugin for Revive Ad server, $300 
• mJAX Mobile Ads $1400
• code.google.com/p/handset-detection-openx-plugin free BUT the detection by handsetdetection.com only gives you 20.000 detections for free

Does anyone know of a free plugin?

 

So far I've try to use > banner delivery options > Client - Useragent > regex match > Mobile|iP(hone|od|ad)|Android|BlackBerry|IEMobile

 

Is this correct? Is there a better way?

Figured out how to serve to desktops. I posted it here:

Follow the directions except change "regex does not match" to "regex match" and it should work to show only to mobile devices.

Honestly, I found very interesting this trick. Unfortunately does not show the banner ads on mobile devices, but it's a stopgap solution until you can use the Google responsive banners.

I use source code for mobile targeting with mobileesp.com PHP Script. I add "mobile" if it detects a mobile device and add "tablet" if it detects tablet. So then I can target with targeting source or even building channels on it.

Soon I will publish on my website many tricks with extending revive-adserver. I will then write here.
