imaddu
Hi! One of our Publishers' wants to show static banner when the ad server is not reachable for any reason such as it's down or just slow in responding. So if the banner cannot be fetched from the ad server in 5 secs, then a static banner should be shown. Is there a way to implement a solution for this? Has any one done this before? Any information you can provide will be helpful. Regards, Aditya
Richard Foley
Something has to be able to make that decision, perhaps the apache(?) webserver proxy(?), or some other code run by the server on which the banner is run, or another intermediary. I suggest this is outside of Revive scope. andrewatfornax
andrewatfornax
Hi @imaddu, @Richard Foley is spot on. If you want to serve something in place of a Revive Adserver banner, when Revive Adserver can't be reached, then you need to do this with some form of CDN or proxy service that sits above Revive Adserver. It certainly can be done, though.
