Inflated Clicks

Hi all,

 

I'm having a bit of an issue with one of my sites; I'm getting vastly overinflated numbers regarding clicks during seemingly random time periods. For example, on any given day I can expect 10 legitimate clicks. Recently every few days there will be a period of an hour or so where 1000+ clicks are logged, sometimes showing a CTR of over 100%.

 

Is anyone else experiencing this issue or perhaps have an idea as to what may be causing these seemingly random flurries of illigitimate traffic?

Possible causes could include click fraud or bots.
