andrewatfornax reacted to Dubravko in Asynchronous JS tag - append banner HTML with additional <script> code
I see why this is happening. Someone already reported that here: https://github.com/revive-adserver/revive-adserver/issues/592
In case you have HTML around the zone (prepend and append HTML on zone properties) and you also have some JS code in prepend/append fields (but for banner) that there is JS error in Revive .js file. I'll test with latest version.

andrewatfornax reacted to Dave Brain in Does Revive Adserver have Client side login?
Hi,
In all Revive Adserver versions this feature available.
Please edit your clients(advertisers), click "User Access" => click "Action" ==> click "Add user". Then choose username and then fill all details. Share credentials with your clients. That's it. You can do this same for publishers if you need.
Thanks.

Thanks so much.
I solved it by placing the {clickurl} macro into the HTML banner.

Thanks.
Turns out it was a redirect rule in .htaccess that was stripping /new from URLs.

Varnish!
On a hunch I searched for 'varnish' on this forum and found the extremely usefull comment by mateomiguel here:
I'm using Cloudways for hosting, and they don't allow ignoring directories - so I was forced to disable varnish altogether, and now I am able to login.

andrewatfornax reacted to Erik Geurts in Error When Trying To Install
Seems pretty obvious to me. You have created a database beforehand, but somehow the installer doesn't see that and tries to create another (and fails because the user doesn't have permissions to create databases). Check if your user/password and database match.

Thank you - it works now.
All I did was "apt-get install php7.0-dev", then repeat your commands and we're serving ads again!

andrewatfornax reacted to Ulvedal in How to make 2 banners running the same site, but with frequence?
Hi @andrewatfornax,
great, I found it thanks!
Then I will test it right away :-)

andrewatfornax got a reaction from Ulvedal in How to make 2 banners running the same site, but with frequence?
Hi @Ulvedal,
I think that what you are looking for is Companion Positioning - which means that when one banner from a set is shown, then *all* of the banners from the set are shown.

andrewatfornax got a reaction from Ulvedal in How to make 2 banners running the same site, but with frequence?
Hi @Ulvedal,
Oh, Companion Positioning is a feature that already exists!

Wonderful. Many thanks to Hogiro and Erik!

andrewatfornax reacted to Erik Geurts in Using a Test URL before going live
Yes, Hogiro is right. Here is an article describing exactly how to achieve this:

andrewatfornax reacted to Erik Geurts in Strange table names and mixed prefixes
I didn't say that. Those might actually be the active tables of your ad server.
If you started years ago with OpenX Source (prefix ox_) and over time upgraded to Revive Adserver, the table names will still have ox_ as their prefix.
What you can delete are the ox_z_ tables and the rv_z_ tables (if any of those exist).
