  1. If using "Delivery File Names", the files need to be redirected somehow (unless one wants to manually change file names every time one updates Revive), though I guess I could have used a symlink redirect that did not specifically redirect to an "http" URL. Way back then, though, I did not imagine Google will force us to go SSL Ideally, revive could write the symlink rewrites to an .htaccess files
  2. I finally fixed my ads being served unsecurely. I used .htaccess redirects for the altervative "Delivery File Names" and they were redirecting to http pages. That also seems to have fixed the javascript banners not being served at all.
  3. Still trying. I sequentially turned off (via dates) all campaigns and the problem persists. The https page is initially loaded as secure by the browser, but when the Asynchronous JS banners are loaded, it shows it as insecure. (When Javascript is off, the page loads securely alright via https, though)
  4. I did a new, fresh, test, install of Revive Server. Again, only Asynchronous JS invocation works. Regular Javascript does not. I was able to get lg.php to serve via https. I still do not understand why my working install does not. 'Some Http:' is only used as URL destinations. I even did an Phpadmin search to make 100% sure of this. Any ideas?
  5. Tried changing "protocol" (under [origin] in conf.php) from "http" to "https" Ended up locking myself from the control panel ("Due to a problem with the database Revive Adserver couldn't retrieve or store data"), though banners are still being served. Changing "protocol" back to "http" did not help with the CP issue
  6. I'm using standard invocation codes, only changing http to https where needed Also, although Asynchronous JS invocation does show banners over https, lg.php end up being called from http://, so browsers will not qualify the page as secure
  7. Hi all: Moving to https, it seems only Asynchronous JS invocation works. Regular Javascript (which is what I need) and iframe invocation do not seem to work, with relevant 'http' changed to 'https' and over a plain HTML file. I'm running revive 4.14. PHP is 5.6 (though problem was the same with PHP 5.5), MySQL 5.6, Apache 2.4 Thanks in advance for the help
  8. Can't be done officially. As a hack, I use addresses of this form in the email field: name1@web.com>,<name2@web.com Though you'll have to get it done manually in the data base
  9. Hi all: Everything I do for avoiding adblockers does not seem to work. Using iframe or asynchronous invocation codes does not work, at least not with Adguard for Firefox. I also tried creating a subdomain so as to avoid getting tracked due to the "www/delivery" bit, but that did not help either. I also modified file names. Has anybody achieved any success with current ad blockers?
  10. We did a CSS-only version of Clove's approach. Say, for 728px-wide banners: .some-id img {width: 100%; max-width: 728px; height: auto; max-height: 728px;}
  11. I just tried mixing different types of invocations and that does help. I have also tried single page call, but somehow how that does not work on my page. I'm wondering if using two zones instead of one zone with two banners would help.
  12. Hi: Too often I see ads not showing (maybe one in 10 times), and there are no errors in the log file. We show about 400k impressions/month with about 15 contract campaigns, mostly totally uncapped, except for some country geotargeting. There is also a remnant campaign with plenty of ads. Pages typically consist of one ad from a zone and two ads from another zone, all using Javascript invocation tags. Typically if an ad does not show it is the latest in the HTML, but sometimes the latest two are not shown. The first one, which belongs to a different zone, seems to be always show. Both zones have plenty of uncapped ads and their zone probabilities look fine and add to 100% (remnants have 0.61% priority). Any ideas?
  13. Is it possible for Revive to log and show delivery statics based on the source parameter? I'm trying to have a view of ads shown at different sections without having to add more zones. If not, is there a way to do a similar thing? Thanks
  14. I have converted from a old phpAdsNew install that used this and cannot seem to find how to do it with Revive Adserver (v4)? Tried the solution in this post but was not able to make it work.
  15. Finally managed to bet it working reasonably by multiplying the contracted views in contract campaigns by a factor of 1000. I guess I'll be gradually dropping zeros at some point.
  16. I've tried several days. Although I can understand it can take days for an accurate prediction, I definitely cannot understand even for a very ballpark estimation. Advertisers do not have weeks. I started from stratch with revive v4 and just a zone, two campaigns (one contract and one remnant), and the one contract banner has a priority of 0.5% percent without any impressions yet.
  17. Ideally yes, but I depend on other software that does not run on 5.5 I believe all of those modules are listed in the PHP report
  18. I did, but I assumed those would be for Revive v4, and v.3.2.5 installed and worked OK with PHP 5.4 Is it not possible at all to run v3.2.6 on PHP 5.4?
  19. Hi: I upped my PHP version from 5.3 to 5.4.45 and now my Revive 3.2.5 admin page is not working ( Fatal error: Call to undefined method MDB2_Error::setFetchMode() in /home/[PATH]/lib/pear/DB/QueryTool/Query.php on line 299 ). Can I make it work with PHP 5.4? Thanks in advance
  20. Hi all: After many years with phpAdsNew (and a failed tryout of OpenX), I installed Revive 3.2.5 (don't have the PHP version for v4 just yet) from scratch for testing. I have two 728x90px zones and two 240x400 zones, plus an e-mail zone and a zone I was planning to use with direct campaign invocation (which I have not found how to do on Revive yet). I have about 15 advertisers and 20 contract campaigns, uncapped for the most part, plus a couple of remnant campaigns. I have checked that campaigns are correctly assigned to zones, and that contracted views and end dates are fine. I use normal JS invocation. My web site shows about 10.000 impressions daily, and I've set tests for a few days that would serve 5% of contracted adviews and zone priorities are all wrong, with hardly any priorities assigned to contract campaigns. I tried also for about 8 hours to run 30% of views with similarly low priorities for contract campaigns even though remnants should be 0% (see attached image, a small number of contact banners have some priority, which can be 0.5%-12%), though stats showed mostly contract campaigns being delivered, albeit with very low views, about a third of what they should be. (Zone in this test is set not to show banners if the are none that can be show, though I have not seen this happen). I have changed a few file delivery names and used re-directs in .htaccess. I have checked the debug log and it seems fine, with maintenance running OK. I have checked the "Troubleshooting banner delivery" document. I know there was a command line way of showing some priority tables, but since the openx site is down and they are not documented I have not been able to run those tests. I'd be very grateful for some advice. Thanks in advance.
  21. Does the [file] listing in the conf.php file play any role? (such as click="ck.php", they seem unchanged in the conf file) Also, can I safely change "adId=bannerid" in the conf.php to something else? (changing banner id was suggested at
  22. Hi: To try and avoid ad blocking, I have changed some "Delivery File Names" under Configuration>Global Settings>Banner Delivery Settings (using the administrator account in (v3.2.5). However, I get an error when clicking on a banner. There seems to be no documentation on this. Should I also change the names of the files themselves and/or the entries in the conf.php file (which have not changed after the changes in the admin panel)? Thanks for the help
  23. Hi: I have been a PhpAdsNew user for ages. I just learned about the existence of Revive. To be honest I would have preferred for Revive to make software that could be bought for a reasonable price to help developers (I originally donated to PhpAdsNew). Anyway, here's the question. I show about 500.000 monthly ads to a range of countries. Delivering ads with limitations (country, in my case) has always been a problem. Contract campaigns (i.e. "AdViews evenly over the remaining number of days") do not meet contracted amounts more often than not (even for countries with 25% of the total impressions) and I end up having to create high priority campaigns that I need to tune manually every week. A huge pain in the neck, plus I end up giving away impressions in order not to fall short. At some point I switched to OpenX, but even with patches that were supposed to address delivery issues the results were even worse, so I went back to good old PAN. Are there changes in Revive's delivery engine that will provide a solution to my delivery problems? Thanks
