  1. Anyone know what's causing this please? I've upgraded revive many times before with no problems. Your database has been detected The following database has been detected for your installation of Revive Adserver. Please verify that this is correct then click "Continue" to proceed. Failure while upgrading schemas Database Settings Detected Revive Adserver version Revive Adserver 4.1.0-beta-rc1 Database Name revive_{redacted}_414 Database Hostname localhost
  2. Looks like #943 has it covered, and is open: https://github.com/revive-adserver/revive-adserver/issues/943
  3. Definitely borked. Tried again on local Fed 27 server, same problem. On a hunch, I tried a clean install of 4.11 on the same box and all the settings are saved correctly there.
  4. I'm trying to provide as much info as I can here. So, I'm sitting on a clean 4.13 install which is of no use, so can try a few drastic things knowing I'm about to trash it. I did a chmod +777 * -R from the root, and noticed the graph started showing (the GD library issue). I also set the MySql user to root as a test, but the saving of the settings problem wasn't affected.
  5. Update - just did another clean install in case I missed something, and it's the same. My guess is everyone else is updating so won't see this. For me there's nothing to update from.
  6. I go to this page: https://documentation.revive-adserver.com/display/DOCS/User+Interface+Preferences, make any change, see the message "User Interface Preferences have been updated" but nothing persists. Also, even though the PHP GD library is installed I see on the dashboard a message telling me it isn't. This is a new server. I have been running Revive for years on another without any of these issues. It's Ubnuntu 16.04. Anyone else seen this please?
  7. After upgrading the Ubuntu Revive server to PHP7 I see "Sorry, you cannot see this graph because the GD graphics extension is missing from your PHP installation." on the front page dashboard where the weeks stats used to be. I did "apt-get install php7.0-gd", which showed it wasn't already there, and it installed fine but after restarting apache still see the error message.
  8. Thank you - it works now. All I did was "apt-get install php7.0-dev", then repeat your commands and we're serving ads again!
  9. Is there something I missed?
  10. I'm interested in producing a set of SQL queries for a few standard operations, like showing the total impressions for a given date range etc. Anyone done this (to save reinventing the wheel) or got some pointers please - starting with that example ;-) ???
  11. Thanks. Since that post I even tried directly inserting their code into the site, and it still doesn't show, so i guess there's nothing I can do in Revive if that's the case. I don't know why these are so highly recommended, they never answer emails and don't know about SSL! Actually, is there a place on these forums where quality adsense alternatives are discussed?
  12. Yes I looked and saw none of either. Here's how they say you should invoke one: <script type="text/javascript"> ( function() { if (window.CHITIKA === undefined) { window.CHITIKA = { 'units' : [] }; }; var unit = {"calltype":"async[2]","publisher":"example","width":550,"height":250,"sid":"Chitika Default"}; var placement_id = window.CHITIKA.units.length; window.CHITIKA.units.push(unit); document.write('<div id="chitikaAdBlock-' + placement_id + '"></div>'); }()); </script> <script type="text/javascript" src="//cdn.chitika.net/getads.js" async></script>
  13. Yes the dashboard. Ok, thanks.
  14. I've asked Chitika about this 3 times now without even an acknowledgement of my query. Before I give up on them, does anyone here know how to get their ads to appear over https? We are in the process of adding letsencrypt certs to all our sites. Needless to say, Adsense is fine and when I visit the site over http the Chitika ones re-appear - it just looks at the moment like https is beyond them. They don't even appear in the Revive banner preview when I use that over https.
  15. I only see 3 in the main panel - Your Statistics, Campaign Overview and Audit Trail. The Drop down for "More widgets" is always empty. Is there someplace else I need to look? I'd actually like the same graph for Your Statistics which only shows the last week but for longer ranges. I know I can export the data to excel but the front page is the ideal place for this.
  16. Say I have 3 advertisers, each with 1 campaign, and a site with 2 zones. I've set things up all using the defaults so that each campaign targets each zone. All campaigns are remnant. What I see is the same ad appearing in both zones sometimes. I want to set things up so that if an ad from any selected campaign is shown in one of the zones, then one from the other two is always shown in the other zone. Thank you
  17. Try visiting this site with an adblocker on, then with it off. You see the exact spaces where the ads would be now have a custome message. Hows this done in Revive please? http://www.trustedreviews.com/news/jason-bradbury-coding-lessons-in-schools-are-a-waste-of-time
  18. Sounds interesting ... any more clues please? ;-)
  19. Yes, that's it. A vastly simplified, but still non-working, version of what I'm trying: <style> /* Desktop */ @media screen and (min-width: 600px) { .desktop { display:block; } .mobile { display:none; } /* Mobile */ @media screen and (max-width: 600px) { .desktop { display:none; } .mobile { display:block; } } </style> <div class="desktop"> <ins data-revive-zoneid="1" data-revive-id="999999999"></ins> </div> <div class="mobile"> <ins data-revive-zoneid="2" data-revive-id="999999999"></ins> </div> Any tips on how to just execute the relevant <ins ...> part greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  20. So advice is to upgrade anyway then apply the hack at the top of this thread? I find being able to link banners to zones kinda important ;-)
  21. I have 3.2.1 and was about to update to 3.2.3 ... is this a reason to hold off?
  22. On my responsive site the appropriate CSS is selected based on media-querys to show either the mobile-only zone or the desktop-only zone. I did this using a wrapper appropriately with "display:none" set for the hidden one. But this means 2 ads are always pulled from the server. When I'm using Adsense are they being counted as 2 separate ads each time? Won't Google forbid this? I suppose what I'm asking is - is there a smarter way to set this up so only the zone which will appear is loaded, based only on the CSS media-query (or other) way ?
  23. Hello Erik and thanks for sanitizing my post, I didn't realize I wasn't supposed to do that. I have 3 new pieces of information though. 1. I updated to Revive 3.2.1 and it is still the same. 2. The version of Chrome for Android which is currently at fault is the latest, 43.0.2357.78. This is true on tablets too. 3. I am sure its not down to the cert or the Android browser because on the site, under the "Privacy Statement" link at the bottom of each page, I just added the direct AdSense invocation code and it always shows the ad properly. If anyone wants to take a look at the site I'd be grateful but I guess you'll have to PM me. I wish I could view the page source in Android - it's so frustrating having it always work on Desktop Chrome, especially since the site is not only aimed at mobiles but because of its nature (smartphone viruses) it tends to be more about Android anyway!!! Thanks.
  24. [RESOLVED* - This was an invalid cert chain in the cert at the revive site.] The site is www.example.com. I have a redirect there to force https:// from http://. Revive 3.2.0 is serving it from https://ads.example.com. The problem is, only when using the Android native browser, no ads appear. Using the latest FF on Android shows them fine. Using any desktop browser shows them fine. All other non-SSL sites are served ok. So you'd have thought that perhaps the Android browser has a problem with just that SSL cert or whatever? That's why I did a cut n paste of the <script/> code as a test directly into the site, bypassing Revive, and it served it fine! As the title, it seems it's just the specific combination of Revive + SSL + the Android browser. It's been this way for the past few releases of the Android browser. Thanks.
